Gorgeous glasses at inexpensive prices are not a fantasy! Zenni.com is the candy store for glasses wearers. Gorgeous frames, everything from geek to chic!
I’ve finally crossed the bridge from “standard” glasses wearer to needing progressive lenses. My arms simply aren’t long enough to hold the small print far enough away. Thankfully, I don’t have to announce this milestone to the world by having to get bifocals (good Lord, I still have a child in elementary school – I’m not mentally ready to look like my grandma in the eyeglasses department (I already have her figure — but that’s for another post).
Progressive Lens Glasses at Bargain Prices? Yes! Yes! Yes!
Progressive lenses are awesome! I can see far distances, I can see close up, I don’t have to take my glasses on and off anymore to see what I want/need to. The problem, you ask? Well, in a word (or a few words): outrageous price!!!! Seriously, is it too much to ask for stylish frames and lenses that don’t cost $700 out the door? I want more than one pair of glasses, but at almost $500 for the lenses alone, I was getting desperate, and highly frustrated. As my Dad is fond of saying, “It’s all a crock.” Where are the cute glasses at bargain prices?
Friends, I have found the answer. Enter Zenni.com. Hundreds of choices, and not styles like on the bargain rack. The frames may not have a celebrity name or endorsement, but they’re every bit as chic or geek as your little heart desires. I’ve no relationship with Zenni, other than as a faithful consumer.
Today, I got a new prescription and wanted to update my specs. I went to Zenni and found these frames for eyeglasses:
I know, no cat eyes, but they were so different and stylish, that I couldn’t resist. I had previously uploaded my pic to my Zenni account and then was able to “try on” several frames to see what I liked. I LOVED these on me.
Then, I decided that I needed a pair of prescription sunglasses too (before Zenni this would have been a complete luxury for me). Here’s the sunglasses:
LOVE LOVE LOVE!
With progressive lenses in the eyeglasses and single vision in the sunglasses, the total for both (drumroll, please) was under $200!!!!!!!! Yes!!! Seriously!!!
Tips for Picking Your Gorgeous Glasses
♦You will need both your prescription and your Pupillary Distance (PD). The PD is the distance is the distance between your pupils. Don’t know it? No sweat! Zenni has got you covered and coaches you on how to find it. Click on over HERE to check it out.
♦You also may want to pay attention to the measurement of a pair of glasses that already fit you well and compare those measurements to those of the frames your considering at Zenni. Each frame on their site has detailed measurements (width and height of each lens, total width of the frame, temple length, etc…). HERE’s where you can see this.
♦Don’t forget that may also be able to use your healthcare Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses – a great way to fit in an extra pair of glasses without breaking your budget.
One last note, in addition to me, I’ve gotten my grade-schooler his glasses on Zenni as well. Have fun checking out styles and trying on a variety -but beware, you’re likely to want more than one. Thankfully, with Zenni you can have it! Questions? Contact me here.
