5 Easy Freezer Meals for Back to School
Freezer meals have been my go-to for several years. They are easy to prepare and it’s such a relief when you have freezer meals at your fingertips during Back to School week.
There’s no reason it has to be a whole day affair with you tied to the kitchen, or wondering if you need to buy a deep freezer to house these meals. Seriously, I usually plan 5 or so meals planned, and do all the prep in an hour or so on a Sunday afternoon. Then I always have something I can just pull out of the freezer when I know it’s going to be a super hectic week – no panicking or stressing on what’s for dinner and no giving in to drive through meals out of desperation. Here are five to get you started.
Bacon and Vidalia Pork Chops
Grilled Pork Chops marinated in Vidalia Onion Dressing and basted with Bacon Pepper Jam at the end of cooking. Serve with grilled corn on the cob. Here’s the recipe.
Flank Steak Tacos
Add some variety to your Taco Tuesday with this tasty marinated flank steak. Nestled in a warmed tortilla and topped with broccoli slaw or toppings of your choice – this fits the bill for both tasty and healthy. A family favorite. Click here for the recipe.
Tex Mex Mac & Cheese Skillet
A zippy one pot meal that all the family will enjoy. A cheesy, hearty Mac & Cheese with Tex Mex flair. This isn’t your mama’s hamburger helper! Check it out here.
Grilled Honey Teriyaki Chicken Tenders
Both kids and grown ups will be thrilled with these tasty chicken tenders and dipping sauce. Add a salad or fries if you’re feeling “naughty” and feel like the brilliant meal mom that you are! Here’s the magic.
Grilled Citrus Herb Chicken
Juicy chicken with a hint of citrus – flavorful and oh so delicious. Pair with a salad, such as a Summer Orzo Citrus Salad, or the veg of your choice. And if you’re from the south, you know that Mac & Cheese is a vegetable, right?? Here chicky chick.
