You all know how much I’ve to cook and entertain. I’ve used several Pampered Chef products for a good while. They’re a great company with some of the best tools for cooking and preparing meals out there. In my not-so-humble opinion, here are some of the best Pampered Chef tools to date.
Manual Food Processor
As much as I do love to bash my veggies and nuts with the Food Chopper, I love the Manual Food Processor more. Not only can I chop a whole onion without tears, I can make salsa, egg salad, tuna salad, chicken salad and a whole host of other yummy things without dirtying more than one item. Use the MFP (as the cool kids call it) to chop your celery and water chestnuts first, then throw in your tuna or chicken, mayo and seasonings and pump, pump pump it up until it’s mixed.
Rice Cooker Plus
Never burn rice again! Never have to wait for water to boil for pasta again! Need to make a family sized lava cake? This gem does it all!!!!
Seriously, I’m thinking about getting another one as I’m using this all.the.time. Rice is simple – add your water and rice together, microwave for 5 min on High; after that’s done. Microwave again for 15 min on 50% power. Perfect Rice!
Pasta Much? Add your pasta to the cooker, cover in water till there’s approximately 1” over the pasta level. Microwave on high for approximately 12 min. Remove the white insert from the inside of the lid (the one with the hole in it) then pop the lid back on and drain the water out. Voila! Ready for your sauce or recipe.
Mix and Chop
This is one of their best sellers for quite awhile. Use it when you’re cooking any group meat to get the perfect texture and size of crumble. No more breaking up the ground bee with a fork or spatula and still getting both huge chunks as well as microscopic pieces. Works great with sausage — I wouldn’t be without it for both Taco Tuesday as well as Sausage Gravy for Sunday breakfast.
Grill Pan
This has been recently redesigned and I have my eye on getting the new version. Nevertheless, I couldn’t make this list without talking about their Grill Pan and press. Honestly, I’m just not going to fire up the grill when I need to grill 2 chicken breasts, or a few hamburgers or hot dogs. I whip out my grill pan, get to stay out of the heat (or cold) and still get beautiful grill marks and a great cook from my pan and press. For larger families, they do have a larger version that covers 2 burners. Since we’re a family of three, the single burner version suits me just fine.
Rock Crock
I wasn’t too sure about this when it debuted, but am now a believer. For those of you that recall the Deep Covered Baker (stoneware), The Rock Crock does all that, and More! And,thank the Lord, it is dishwasher safe. You can use this on the stove top, in the oven, in the microwave and even on the grill. It can withstand heat up to 750 degrees Fahrenheit (the lid is oven safe to 400).
I love that I can brown a roast on the stove top, then put it in the oven, serve the meal, then put it in the fridge, and get it out the next day and warm on the stove! You don’t have to be as careful with temperature shock as with other casseroles or dutch ovens. Super for soup! Great for the Grill. Marvelous for the Microwave (cook your ears of corn in the microwave in the Dutch Oven)!
It’s pricy, but you’ll be keeping this baby in the family for a long time.
